A man has died after a one-car crash in Epsom.

Officers were called to Ashley Road by Surrey Fire and Rescue Service and South East Coast Ambulance at around 1.45am on April 15.

The driver of a red Honda Civic was taken to hospital with serious injuries and he has since died.

His family are aware and are being supported by specialist officers.

Police are now looking for further information on the fatal crash and would like to speak to anyone who saw anything in the run up to the crash.

A spokesperson for Surrey Police said: “We are continuing to appeal for witnesses after a fatal collision in Epsom during the early hours of Saturday morning (15 April).

“Officers were called to Ashley Road in Epsom by Surrey Fire & Rescue Service and South East Coast Ambulance at around 1.45am, following reports of a single vehicle collision involving a red Honda Civic.

“The driver of the Honda Civic was taken to hospital with serious injuries but has sadly since died.

“Our thoughts at this time are with his family, who are being supported by specialist officers.

“Were you driving along Ashley Road in the early hours of Saturday morning between approximately 1am and 1.45am?
