Girl Guides had a night in the spotlight last week at a special presentation evening.
Merton’s outstanding guides and guide leaders were handed awards by the Jack Petchey Foundation, a charity supporting young people in London, on Thursday.
Winning guides received medallions, a framed certificate and a cheque for £300 for their division to spend on resources and equipment.
Winning leaders were given a medallion, framed certificate and a cheque for £1,000.
All the winners were given a red rose to celebrate St George’s Day.
The ceremony, which also featured guides from Kingston, Richmond and Sutton, was held at the King’s Centre in Chessington.
