A man has been banned from entering Croydon following repeated incidents of antisocial behaviour.

David Tench is now subject to a borough-wide injunction after his ongoing antisocial behaviour caused misery for local businesses and residents.

The order prohibits him from entering any part of Croydon and gives police the power to arrest him without a warrant if he breaches the conditions.

Jason Perry, executive mayor of Croydon, said: "We will not tolerate antisocial behaviour in our borough.

"This injunction sends a clear message that perpetrators are not welcome in Croydon.

"We will continue to take firm action against those whose behaviour causes distress and disruption to our residents and businesses.

"Working with the Police and our partners, we will use the powers available to improve our borough, making it a place people are proud to call home."

The order comes after Croydon Council’s antisocial behaviour team took action through its Town Centre Taskforce, part of a broader zero-tolerance approach to antisocial behaviour across the borough.

Croydon town centre is currently subject to a public space protection order (PSPO), first introduced in 2022, which has contributed to a 24 per cent reduction in antisocial behaviour.
