Two people have been arrested after a man was assaulted on a major road in Kingston.
The Metropolitan Police was called at 3.30am today (June 13) to reports of an assault on Wheatfield Way, reports London Now.
A man was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
Two men were arrested at the scene.
A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of GBH (grievous bodily harm) and a man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of ABH (actual bodily harm).
A police cordon and road closures were in place but have since returned to normal.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 1130/13JUN26.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at approximately 03:30hrs on Saturday, 13 June to reports of an assault on Wheatfield Way, Kingston.
“Two men, aged in their 20s and 40s, were arrested at the scene.
“The man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, and the man in his 20s on suspicion of actual bodily harm.
“One of the men was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, where he remains in a stable condition.
“A crime scene was established and has since been closed.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 1130/13JUN26.
“Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
