A new Primark store is coming to Epsom – and it’s opening very soon.

It was first confirmed in 2023 that the fashion retailer would take over the former House of Fraser unit at the Ashley Centre, which closed in June 2022.

Primark has now confirmed that the new store will officially open its doors on Wednesday, March 25.

The 44,000 sq ft branch will span two floors inside the shopping centre and will stock womenswear, menswear, kidswear, homeware, accessories and seasonal ranges.

Fit-out works have been ongoing in recent months, with signage installed across the large shopfront earlier this year.

The arrival of Primark will bring the long-vacant department store unit back into use and is expected to boost footfall and create new jobs in the town.

The store will sit next to JD Sports and close to Next, M&S and Oliver Bonas, strengthening the centre’s mix of national brands.

According to Primark’s website, a live DJ will welcome the first shoppers on opening day, with celebrations continuing throughout launch week and prizes up for grabs.

The retailer has also confirmed that its click & collect service will be available at the new store.

Will Greenland, assistant centre manager at the Ashley Centre, previously said: “Primark’s arrival will not only bring a fantastic new retail offer to Epsom, but it will create new job opportunities, increase footfall, and further elevate the centre’s role as a prime shopping destination in the community.”
