This Christmas, Santa is returning to the St Nicholas Centre in Sutton in a candy-themed winter wonderland grotto, joined by roaming performers, craft workshops and a month-long Christmas giveaway.

From Friday (November 28) to Christmas Eve (December 24), families can step into Santa’s world, enjoy festive activities across the centre, and be in with a chance of winning prizes worth up to £100.

Here are all the Christmas events happening at the St Nicholas Centre this year.

Meet Santa at St Nics – November 28 to December 24:

Santa’s grotto opens in the Main Atrium on November 28, giving children the chance to visit Santa in a colourful, candy-inspired winter wonderland.

Every Sunday, the first four sessions are quieter SEN-friendly times while the centre is less busy.

All Santa sessions are open to SEN children, but families who prefer a calmer setting can look for the gold booking slots when reserving their visit.

Meet the Christmas Elves & The Good-o-Meter – December 6, 11am–3pm:

Cheeky elves will roam the centre with their Good-o-Meter putting shoppers to the test to see who’s on Santa’s Naughty or Nice list.

Decorate a Toy Soldier Tree Topper – Saturday, December 13, 11am–4pm:

Families can book a spot to decorate their own toy soldier tree topper to take home.

Throughout the day, gliding toy soldiers will appear for photo moments and bring a theatrical touch to the centre.

SEN sessions are available for those who prefer a quieter crafting environment.

The Big Christmas Giveaway – November 29 to December 20:

Shoppers who spend £25 or more in any SM1 postcode store between November 29 and December 20 (closing at 3pm) can enter the centre’s annual Christmas prize draw.
To take part, visitors simply show their receipt to a Validation Elf outside Santa’s grotto and register their details on the centre’s e-form.

A live draw will take place at St Nics on December 20 from 4pm, where the Mayor of Sutton will select the winners.

Those not present will be contacted in the New Year to arrange collection.

Prizes currently include:
– Salter VertiCook Ultra Air Fryer (£99.99)
– Pandora Crescent Moon Double Dangle Necklace (£99.99)
– £100 Boots gift card
– Barbour navy beanie and plaid scarf
– The Body Shop hamper
– Wicked Glinda & Elphaba singing dolls
– Jurassic World Primal Hatch interactive dinosaur
– £100 TKMaxx gift card
…and more prizes still being added.

Simply visit the Elf Validation Station on December 6, 13 or 20, submit a qualifying receipt and enter for a chance to win.
