A village within Sutton has found itself featured in what’s been dubbed “the most boring calendar ever” for 2026.
Cheam has been selected to represent October in Access Self Storage’s new charity calendar, which turns everyday storage units into quirky, themed monthly scenes.
The light-hearted project aims to raise £10,000 for Cancer Research UK, with 100 per cent of proceeds going to the charity.
The calendar features 12 storage units from across the UK, each decorated with a nod to its month.
Cheam’s unit, titled Mrs October, shows a single broomstick leaning against the wall, a simple but fitting reference to Halloween.
The idea behind the calendar is to make fun of the ordinarily plain world of storage, with Access Self Storage calling it “possibly the most boring calendar ever” as a tongue-in-cheek marketing line.
Despite the self-deprecating name, being featured means Cheam’s branch was chosen over dozens of other stores.
The calendar is priced at £5 and 3,000 copies have been printed, with each of the company’s 57 UK branches stocking 50 copies.
All proceeds will go directly to Cancer Research UK’s ongoing research efforts.
Twickenham, Streatham, and Wandsworth were other south London areas featured in the calendar.
Locals can pick up a copy at Access Self Storage Cheam on 92 Oldfields Road or purchase online.
Access Self Storage hopes the project will bring a mix of humour and charity, while shining a spotlight on communities across the country.
