Selhurst has been named one of the most popular filming locations in the UK.
A new study by TV and entertainment experts OLBG analysed UK towns and cities to reveal the top spots for TV filming.
They did this based on factors such as average IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes scores for shows filmed there, fan interest measured through search data, and the average cost of accommodation.
In their findings, they discovered that Selhurst in the London Borough of Croydon ranks 17th in the UK, saying “Selhurst is capturing the attention of TV fans across the country”.
Selhurst achieved a TV Show Tourism Score of 7.86 out of 10.
The average IMDb score for shows filmed in Selhurst is 8.8, while the average Rotten Tomatoes critic score is 90 per cent, and the audience score is 85 per cent.
Annual location searches for Selhurst have surged by 769.2 per cent, highlighting its growing popularity among fans wanting to visit filming sites.
The average cost of a three-star hotel in Selhurst is £102 per night, making it a convenient base for TV tourists.
Selhurst is particularly known for football-related filming at Selhurst Park, home to Crystal Palace F.C., which has featured in productions including Ted Lasso, I.D., and Wonderland.
While Dudley topped the list with a TV Show Tourism Score of 9.42, Selhurst stands out for its rapidly increasing interest, even surpassing many larger towns and cities in search growth.
Other top locations highlighted in the study include Dudley, Dunstable, and Ellesmere Port, which scored 9.42, 8.78, and 8.75 respectively.

“Among the shows, Ghosts is the most loved, with Peaky Blinders and Gavin and Stacey close behind. Each draws fans to memorable locations across the country.
“Whether it's a stately home, a gritty industrial street, or a charming seaside town, these locations offer fans a special way to step into the world of their favourite series."
