With the weather getting warmer, many locals are looking for an outdoor space where they can drink and socialise.

Luckily for the people of Sutton, they don’t need to trek too far when they can head to the brand-new Trinco Rooftop Bar.

Earlier this month, Oru Sutton, the wellbeing and co-working space on Throwley Way, announced the return of its highly anticipated Trinco Rooftop Bar.

The rooftop bar at Oru Sutton offers more than just drinks, featuring a community garden filled with flowers, vegetables, and herbs that adds a splash of greenery to the urban setting.

Visitors can enjoy meals outside under warm string lights, creating a relaxed atmosphere perfect for evenings.

Seating is available under large umbrellas and scattered among the plants, providing both shade during the day and a cosy environment at night.

A dance floor is also part of the rooftop space, giving guests the option to dance or simply take in the sunset views over Sutton.

The bar’s food menu has been expanded to include new Sri Lankan-inspired pizzas, such as aubergine and masala varieties, as part of Trinco’s existing selection of authentic Sri Lankan cuisine.

The rooftop aims to offer a unique combination of dining, greenery, and entertainment in one space.

Vibushan Thirukumar, CEO and co-founder of Oru Space, says the return of the rooftop bar will be perfect for summer socialising under the night sky.

He added: “We’re reimagining the high street as a place where people come to feel good, connect, and belong.

“Reopening the Trinco rooftop bar in Sutton is more than just serving drinks and delicious Sri-Lankan inspired pizza, it’s about creating space for joy, community, and celebration - and we can't wait for you to join us.”

The drinks menu has a wide range of options, including cocktails like Espresso Martini and Old Fashioned.

In early May, Trinco was shortlisted in the Time and Leisure Food and Culture Awards 2025 for Best Coffee/Tea House.

Dondee Barrick, manager of Trinco, said: “I think it’s absolutely exciting that we’ve been shortlisted, especially since we have been here for over a year, and we’ve had no major advertising.

“I think, if I do say so myself, we have the best coffee in Sutton.

“It is exciting to be recognised.

“It has taken a while for us to get our entrails sent for people to be able to see us.”

Trinco Rooftop Bar will be open every Friday and Saturday.
