A man has been robbed of his electric bike by four balaclava-clad men in Sutton.

Officers were called to Sutton Lane at around 5.15pm on December 20 following reports of a robbery.

The victim was cycling in a wooded part of the lane at the time.

The attackers were dressed in dark clothing and pulled him from his bike.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam or smart doorbell footage to come forward.

A spokesperson for Surrey Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses after a man had his electric bike stolen in Sutton yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, 20 December).

“Officers were called to Sutton Lane at around 5.15pm following reports of a robbery.

“The victim was cycling along a wooded part of the lane when he was approached by four men dressed in dark clothing and wearing balaclavas who pulled him off his bike.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time and seen something to get in touch, or if you have any dashcam or Smart doorbell footage, quoting PR/45230144489 via DM Surrey Police.”
