I feel compelled to respond to Ashley Boyce’s letter on November 27.
Of course, new born babies are no more able to walk than a disabled person. There is no comparison between a disabled person and a baby. You do, however, have the choice to pick your baby up and put them on your lap and collapse your buggy.
I cannot pick up a 10-stone person who is paralysed from the waist down and has spinal rods.
As a user of public transport it is frustrating when you are refused entry because people who could move their buggies refuse to do so.
Same as trains the disabled spaces are always full with buggies leaving us in the doorway blocking people’s entry and exit.
I think, Ashley Boyce, you have a very selfish attitude.
