Nathan Kemp believes Wimbledon RFC can push for a top four finish in London One South next season.
The Dons regained their place in London top tier on Saturday after beating Charlton Park 18-6 in a promotion play-off to end their year-long stay in London Two South West.
And player-coach Kemp thinks a bit more strength in depth with ensure his side are competitive next year.
“We can definitely be a force,” he said.
“We will focus on being a top four side and then, after Christmas, if promotion is looking like a possibility we will go for that.
“But, at the minimum, we are looking at being a top four side.
“The team we have now I think would finish mid-table so we are just looking to add a bit more depth to it over the summer.
“Promotion was a good reward for all the hard work the lads have put in during the season.
“I think if we had played Park in a league match then we would have scored a lot more but on Saturday everyone was a little uptight.”
Kua Pakalua and Joey Nanai scored tries on Saturday and Dan Brown kicked a late drop goal to kill off Park.
They face Sutton & Epsom tonight for a place in the Surrey Trophy final as they look to add silverware to promotion.
