Dulwich College claimed their first ever U18 Daily Mail RBS Cup last Wednesday thanks to kicking king Dominic Fraser.

Fraser, the brother of Saracens flanker Will Fraser, kicked all Dulwich’s points as they beat Old Swinford Hospital School 15-8 at Twickenham.

It was a performance that earned him a lot of the plaudits, but he was quick to pass them on to his team-mates instead.

“I wouldn’t have got those points without the forwards,” he said.

“They gave me the base and got the penalties and I just needed to slot them over.

“They did their job and I did mine.

“The journey to get to the final was pretty up and down and we’ve made it tough for ourselves at times, but to go to Twickenham and actually win the whole thing is mental. We’re really chuffed.

“Running out there and seeing all those people was quite scary at first, it’s Twickenham and it is a privilege to play there.

“Knowing how many legends have played on that pitch is just unreal.”

Old Swinford scored the only try of a game played in rain that prevented it reaching its full potential – not that Dulwich captain Daniel Beese minded.

“The conditions weren’t great but in some ways, that suited us as we are a forwards side,” he said.

“Our technique was great for those conditions and, fair play to Swindon, they were hot on the breakdown but we played the conditions spot on.”
