Surbiton Hockey Club's U18 girls will visit Southgate in the fourth round of the English Knockout competition on February after winning 4-3 at Horsham on penalty strokes.
Maddie Tait’s second penalty stroke won the tie for Surbiton as the match went to sudden death. Emma Royce and Stephanie Addison also netted for Surbiton after the match had finished 2-2.
Surbiton’s U16 boys also needed penalty strokes to book a place in the third round after they had drawn 1-1 at Hersham The U18 boys will visit Canterbury in round four on February 14 after their scheduled third-round opponents Yateley withdrew.
But Surbiton’s U16 girls are out. Despite goals from Ellie Tait and Emma Broad, they lost 5-2 to Teddington.
