Spin stars together: Elliot Harmer with John Emburey
Former England captain and off-spinner John Emburey visited Hampton School this week for a coaching session with the school’s own spin king, 12-year-old Elliot Harmer.
Elliot received a one-to-one coaching session with the former international, who coached him on the basics of bowling spin.
Young Elliot has been playing cricket since he was five and has been selected for the junior Surrey squads for the past three years.
He has represented the full Surrey U10, U11 and U12 teams more than 20 times, twice as captain.
