Kingstonian face a mountain to climb to break into the Ryman Premier League play-offs after a 1-0 defeat to struggling VCD Athletic on Monday night.
Michael Power struck the only goal in the second half as the visitors secured a 1-0 win at Kingsmeadow to move out of the drop zone.
Ks have slipped to 16th in the table as boss Tommy Williams’ men have landed only one win in October – a 3-0 league cup triumph at Corinthian Casuals.
Ks, who travel to Barkingside in the FA Trophy on Saturday, are without a league success since beating Peacehaven & Telscombe 2-1 on September 24.
"I thought our second half performance was flat and had no tempo to it. It was nowhere near good enough and we are bitterly disappointed," said Williams.
"They were bottom of the table. We didn't take our chacnes in the first half and that gave them a lift at half time and something to hold on to.
"Goals change games. We didn't take our chances and got caught with a sucker punch.
"Our home performances have been too similar. We create chances, but don't take them and then run out of ideas. It is something I'll be looking at and something we need to change."
