The QPR elite development squad were at the Beveree on Friday night, and dish out a 4-0 beating to give an experimental Beavers team a glimpse of the standard of play that they need to aim for in the coming Ryman Premier season.

QPR kicked off and with just 22 seconds on the watch, Michael Petrasso side-footed the ball under Tim Roberts to open the scoring.

The Beavers regrouped and more than matched their opponents for the rest of the half, although Tom Hitchcock for the visitors had a couple of gift wrapped chances to extend the lead.

On 32 minutes, Beavers' Joe Turner found himself one on one with the keeper after a Joel Ledgister cross found its way to the back post, but the keeper managed to get the ball at the same moment Turner did, and the chance was blocked.

Six minutes later, Tommy Brewer found himself with enough time and space to curl a shot towards the back post but he could not direct it accurately enough to trouble the keeper.

In the second half, the Beavers management made changes, as did the QPR management, and the visitors slowly ramped up the pressure as the Beavers struggled to create openings to match those of the first half.

On 55 minutes, Mo Sharif curled in a 20-yard free kick, giving Matt Pegler little chance to reach the accurately placed teasing shot for 2-0.

Then Skapetis was left with the easiest of headers on 77 minutes, nodding home from no more than a couple of yards after a wicked looping cross deceived the defence and left an open goal.

With just five minutes to go, QPR won another free kick just outside the area and Max Ehmer stepped up to blast the free kick through the wall and past Pegler, hitting the net via the underside of the crossbar.

Next up for the Beavers is a trip to Krooner Park to face Paul Barry's former charges, Camberley Town, on Tuesday night (kick off 7.45pm).
