There will be an extra reason to cheer at Selhurst Park on Tuesday as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleading squad perform.

Looking to bring it on USA style, the girls from across the pond are on Croydon soil as part of their warm up before the NFL team’s big showdown against the Chicago Bears at Wembley.

But before then the 12 girls will be cranking up the heat inside Crystal Palace’s ground with a high-kicking back-flipping half-time extravaganza as the Eagles face-off against Bristol City.

Not to be outdone, Palace’s own legendary cheerleading squad, the Crystals, will be strutting their stuff too.

During the day, players and cheerleaders from the Buccaneers will visit the Harris Academy in South Norwood, to lead a group of 200 students through various practice routines in both American football and dancing.

As part of the visit, the school's own cheerleading team will have the chance to perform a routine alongside the Buccaneers girls.

Tickets are still available for the match, an 8pm kick-off, as Palace look to continue their impressive start to the season.
