Crystal Palace are close to finding the cure for their travel sickness away from Selhurst Park, according to boss Dougie Freedman.

The Eagles lost for the 14th time on the road last weekend as they went down 1-0 at Burnley and it doesn't get any easier for them this coming Saturday either, with a trip to Championship leaders QPR and former manager Neil Warnock.

Rangers have lost just once at Loftus Road while Palace have got maximum points only once on their travels, a 2-1 win at Norwich City in October.

Freedman though is confident the winning recipe is just around the corner.

“Our away form, as far as results go, has been disappointing but our performances I am very comfortable with," he said.

“The players always react well in training and that’s what we encourage, so we’ll dust ourselves down, turn up for work with a smile on our face and look forward to the next away game at QPR.

“We have got good characters, good ability in the dressing room and I feel confident that if we keep on fighting for each other, then it will turn.”

Scunthorpe United's upsurge in form has seen them close right up to Palace at the bottom of the table but Freedman is not worried about other results.

“I don’t bother looking because we can’t do anything about it,” he conceded.

“All I can do is take this great bunch of lads onto the training ground and work away on it and that’s what we’re focussed on.

“It’s going to be a tough couple of months.

“The Championship is a tough league especially when you’re down the bottom scrapping for your lives, but the good thing is the boys are doing that.

“We have got enough in the dressing room and our performances have shown that we just have to turn those into results and you’ll see us climb the table.”
