Championship side Coventry City had made permanent Chris Hussey’s move from AFC Wimbledon.
The 20-year-old has been on loan at the Ricoh Arena since October and, having impressed manager Chris Coleman, has now signed a three-and-a-half-year deal, with the Dons receiving an undisclosed fee.
Coleman said: "We brought Chris Hussey as one for the future because he is, in my opinion, the best left-back in the Conference.
"In the short time he has been here we have already had three or four enquiries from other clubs asking if we will let him out on loan and we have told them no.
"In Chris we feel we have got someone who is going to turn into a very good player, it's all in front of him and we are looking forward to continually working with him."
