George Burley is set to dip into the loan market again before this Saturday's derby with south London rivals Millwall.

His Crystal Palace side face an injury crisis up front with Pablo Counago, James Vaughan, Jon Obika, Darren Ambrose and Sean Scannell ruled out, leaving just 17-year-old Wilfried Zaha and Calvin Andrew - who only has two goals in 49 appearances - to lead the line.

Despite already having six loans, Burley has admitted he is trying to strengthen up front again, with Newcastle youngster Nile Ranger a possible target.

"We are trying to bring someone in at the moment," he confirmed.

"With games on Saturday and Tuesday we are very short in that department.

"We are trying and we should know in the next couple of days."

Obika and defender David Wright both played in a reserve game against QPR at the training ground this afternoon but will not be ready for Saturday, but Adam Barrett, Claude Davis and Anthony Gardner do return.

"Wright and Obika got their first run out in a while," said Burley.

"David has been out pretty much the whole season and Jon got injured and came back and got injured again and had to go back to Tottenham.

"Both are back playing so we will see how they progress but they are still a bit short for Saturday.

"Barrett missed the last couple of weeks but he is fine now, Davis is fit and Gardner has been able to train."
