Agustus finishes well clear in Richmond Park 5km parkrun

Agustus, competing for the third time, clocked 16 minutes dead, finishing one minute 12 second ahead of course regular James Flood, who improved his personal best by a second.

West 4 Harriers’ Christopher Twistleton took third with a 15-second PB (18:03).

West 4 again dominated the women’s race, with four of the first five finishers including winner Isobel Rea (19:45) and runner-up Alison Brownhill (18:58).

Junior runner Sash Tory of Thames Valley Harriers ran a 31-second personal best in third (20:38).

In the age graded race, Pat Hewlitt returned to the top of the tree with a very commendable 82.59% coming in close to her previous best. Second placed lady, Alsion Brownhill and race leader, Daniel Agustus had to settle for second and third with 80.8% and 80.63% respectively.

Forty-eight runners recorded PBs, bringing the total number since the Richmond Park started to 2033. In this time, 2138 runners from 110 different clubs have completed the race 7922 times covering a distance of 39610 kilometers.
