A Croydon coach has been honoured for his services to gymnastics by receiving the Jack Petchey Foundation achievement award.
Philip Davis was one of 16 adults to win the award at the annual event, held in Bromley last week.
Despite suffering from Asperger’s syndrome and dyspraxia, Davis, 27, has become a special Olympics silver world Champion.
He also coaches members of all ages at the Croydon School of Gymnastics and was nominated for the Leaders Award to celebrate his ability to motivate young people.
Paralympic 800m champion Danny Crates helped present awards and said: “It was a pleasure to help recognise the achievements of so many people.”
