A postmortem examination has shown the 20-year-old killed in Wandsworth died after being stabbed in the neck.

Nathan Douglas was pronounced dead in Lebanon Road after being found by police suffering from knife wounds at 11.30pm yesterday.

According to officers Mr Douglas, who lived in Grosvenor Terrace, Southwark, arrived in Cromford Road near to Lebanon Road in a silver Renault Megane at around 11.15pm.

Detectives say the car then drove to Lebanon Road where Nathan left his friends and met an unknown person.

He then returned suffering from at least one stab wound.

A postmortem examination carried out at St George's Hospital, Tooting today gave his cause of death as a puncture wound to the neck.

Officers from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command who are investigating Mr Douglas’ murder have appealed for witnesses.

Detective Inspector Russ Taylor, who is leading the investigation, said: "We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw the car arrive and its subsequent movements, as well as male who was seen to run along Cromford Road shortly after the incident."
