Two men have been found guilty of murdering Jamie Sanderson in Oceana nightclub.

A jury returned guilty verdicts today against Brandon Francis, 20, and Levan Greenfield, 22.

Jamie Sanderson, 20, died of a single stab wound inflicted inside the club on October 25 last year.

Both men are due to be sentenced tomorrow.

Two other men - Benjamin Onwuma, 20, and Ashley Milne, 23, were acquitted.

Detective Inspector Mark Lawson from the homicide and serious crime command said: "I am delighted for the family because this has always been a very difficult trial  - as nightclub murders are particularly difficult to solve.

"The investigation was greatly led by the CCTV in trying to identify witnesses in the corridor.

"We were greatly assisted by the management of the Oceana nightclub, in particular by Dan Corry and the local officers, who were first on the scene and dealt with what was a very difficult situation with tact and professionalism.

"The family had to ensure a very difficult six week trial. I am pleased justice has been done.

"But it demonstrated once again the use of a knife has such a damning effect on another family in London."

Both men had links to a notorious gang.

Mr Lawson said: "This case has never been investigated as a gang related incident.

"But these two men convicted Francis and Greenfield have links to the Peckham Young Guns - a violent south London street gang.

"I would like to thank my team for the hundreds of hours of work they have put in tracking down witnesses and viewing hours of CCTV footage from numerous cameras."
