A woman’s leg was broken after she was attacked by a dog in south London.

The woman was attacked on May 9 between 4pm an 5pm at Churchfields Recreation Ground Chessington by a dog believed to be an XL Bully.

The dog was white with an orange saddle.

Police are appealing for anyone who has information about the attack to get in touch with them.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “On 4 June, police received a report of a dog attack on a woman in Churchfields Recreation Ground, Chessington.

“The incident was reported to have happened on 9 May at about 16.00hrs when a dog charged a 53-year-old woman causing her to fall over and break her leg.

“There have been no arrests.

“Enquiries continue.”

Chessington South tweeted: "On 09/05/2023 at approximately 16.00 – 17.00 a member of the public has been attacked at Churchfields Recreation Ground Chessington.

“The believed dog in question is described as an XL Bully, white in colour with an orange saddle.
