Councillors are getting out of the town hall and taking politics on tour.
Croydon Council’s health, social care and housing scrutiny meetings will be taking place in locations across the borough in a bid to get more members of the public to attend.
The next meeting is on November 12 at Croydon University Hospital where councillors will be looking at what progress Croydon Health Services NHS Trust has made since inspections by the Care Quality Commission took place.
And on December 9 at Purley United Reformed Church, Brighton Road, Purley, topics on the agenda include NHS England’s immunisation programme and quality of life for people with chronic conditions.
Both meetings start at 6.30pm.
Committee chairwoman Councillor Carole Bonner said: “By holding meetings where people live and not expecting them to come to the town hall, we hope we can encourage as many people as possible to come along and see the work we are doing.”
