Tooting residents are heading to the polls today to vote for their new ward councillor.
The by-election was triggered by the resignation of Labour councillor Ben Johnson, who stepped down from the position in order to take up an advisory job with the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan.

The five candidates are: Eileen Riley Arms, Liberal Democrats; Alexander Ali Balkan, Social Democratic Party; Thom Norman, Conservative Party; Albert Roy Vickery, Green Party and Paul White for the Labour Party.
Polling stations are open until 10pm and the result is expected before 11.30pm.
