A PC has been cleared of sexually assaulting a prostitute but will face another trial over claims he stalked her.
PC Irshad Kamal, 44, was accused of forcibly grabbing the woman’s breasts in a public place, inundating her with phone calls and text messages and loitering outside her house.
He has been suspended from duty at a Wimbledon police station since the allegations.
He had denied the charges against him.
The jury at the Old Bailey began their deliberations on Friday, September 25.
They cleared Mr Kamal, who lives in Bramfield Road, Wandsworth, of sexual assault.
But they had still failed to reach a majority verdict by this afternoon and so were disbanded.
A fresh trial is due to being at the Old Bailey on October 9.
