Putney MP Justine Greening was named Conservative MP of the year runner up at an awards ceremony last week.
The Patchwork Foundation recognised her at the event on Wednesday, November 5, at the Speakers House.
The awards recognise MPs who have worked with under represented, deprived and minority communities across the country.
She was nominated by a constituent for her work locally to raise awareness of the issues adults with autism face and nationally for her efforts to end female genital mutilation and forced marriage through the Girl Summit.
Ms Greening said: "I am honoured to have been nominated to receive this award by one of my constituents.
"As a local MP, I think it’s important to work with the whole community, especially with people who don’t always find it easy to get involved in their local or national democracy."
