Police have launched an appeal to try and find the culprit behind racist graffiti discovered last week.

Images have been released of a man wanted in connection with the racial criminal damage executed on Balham Job Centre, Balham High Road, and an estate agents, in Balham Hill, last week.

The Asian man in the images is estimated to be aged 35-45 years old, bald and with some facial hair.

He was wearing a brown leather jacked, black tracksuit bottoms as well as grey and white trainers.

It is believed graffiti was daubed on the walls of Balham Job Centre at about 10.30pm on September 20, while the estate agents was targeted on September 22 at about 11.30pm.

Last week Travis Perkins, in Balham Hill, was also found scrawled with racist graffiti aimed at the Pakistani community.

The council's graffiti removal team was called out to remove the messages, with the offender repeating the same slogans just hours after it had been painted over by staff.

Earlier this week MP Sadiq Khan condemned the messages.

He said: "It's very distressing that such racist incidents are occurring in Balham, where we have traditionally had good relations between the different parts of our community.

"Racism is never acceptable, under any circumstances, and we need to be united in our condemnation of it.

"I echo the appeals from Wandsworth Police and Wandsworth Council to anyone who has any information on this disgusting behaviour - if you know who is doing this, please come forward."
