A man who brutally attacked a Tube staff member as the worker helped an unwell passenger has been jailed for four months.
Otaniyen Ekiomado, 33, Balham Hill was sentenced at Blackfriars Crown Court on April 2.
Previously the court heard how, at Oxford Circus on August 28 last year, the victim was helping a passenger who had fallen sick on the Victoria line.
While escorting the passenger and ambulance crew to the station exit Ekiomado rushed down the stairs and collided with the man.
He carried on a short way, before turning, walking back to the worker and punching him in the head, knocking him to the ground.
CCTV images later examined by officials had shown Ekiomado re-entering the station using an Oyster Card.
He was arrested and charged at Westminster Magistrates’ Court for assault, causing actual bodily harm.
