A couple and their two young children are safe after a tree smashed into their car.
The windscreen of a Vauxhaul Zafira was smashed after a tree blew over in the wind in Park Road.
The fallen tree blocked one side of the road and caused a traffic backlog, but was cleared quickly after a tree surgeon removed it.
The road was fully open by 4.40pm.
PCSO Steve King, who attended the incident said: "The family was shaken up but they were all OK. We would like to thank the tree surgeon who came so quickly to help."
