A fire by the railway line sparked train cancellations and delays this morning.
Southern said that the train service between Sutton and Epsom was suspended due to a line-side fire. The cable fire started at around 10:45 this morning.
National Rail's website said: "A line-side fire near Ewell East is causing delays of up to 20 minutes to trains between Epsom and Sutton."
Buses replaced the train services between Epsom, Horsham, Dorking and London Victoria.
Passengers could use their tickets on buses between Epsom and Sutton.
