Police arrested the teenager in Newbolt Avenue, North Cheam
A 17-year-old has been charged with assault and criminal damage following an incident in North Cheam on Saturday.
The teen, who can not be named for legal reasons, was arrested in Newbolt Avenue after he allegedly attacked an 18-year-old man in nearby Wickham Avenue.
He is accused of then vandalising two cars at 1.30am.
He has been bailed to appear at Croydon Youth Court on October 22.
