St Anthony’s Hospital is holding a free information talk about bone health and osteoporosis.
The private hospital in North Cheam has joined up with AquaPhysio to hold the event on Friday, March 15, at 1.30pm.
The session is suitable for people who have osteoporosis, low bone density or those concerned about maintaining strong bones.
The National Osteoporosis Society charity will give an introduction on the day.
Dr Meena Sran, a consultant physiotherapist from Canada, specialising in bone health, osteoporosis and fracture prevention will give advice for the prevention of falls and fractures.
A second talk will focus on recovery techniques following a fracture.
Osteoporosis is a disease that causes the bones in the body to become fragile and prone to breaking.
People are often unaware that they have fragile bones until the time of a first fracture.
