A driver was taken to hospital this morning after a crash in Cheam Common Road Road causing traffic hold-ups.
Firefighters from Sutton had to remove the woman from her BMW convertible after she was in a head-on collision with a white van shortly before 7am.
The woman was taken to hospital but is not thought to have been seriously injured. The male driver of the van was not hurt.
The road was closed while firefighters and paramedics worked but has since been reopened.
