A former Hampton School pupil has jumped out of a plane wearing a tuxedo in the name of charity.

Elliot Williamson, 18, who completed his A-levels this year, initially wanted to do his jump naked, but eventually decided on donning a tuxedo after taking suggestions from his Facebook fundraising page.

The stunt, which happened last month, raised £720 for Y Care International, a charity which works with YMCA groups and youth organisations around the world.

Mr Williamson said: “It was the most exhilarating minute of my life, falling through the air at about 170km per hour is impossible to describe, it's just incredible.

"Eventually we landed and I was ecstatic; I had done it and because of it I had raised a lot of money for my fundraising.

"And my tuxedo was still intact.”

Mr Williamson will travel to Guatemala in October to work as a volunteer for the charity.
