Candidates for both the general election and two byelections in Kingston have been formally announced.
Liberal Democrat Edward Davey will bid for a fifth successive election victory as he stands against six other candidates from the Conservative, Labour, Green, UKIP, Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition and Christian People’s Alliance parties.
Meanwhile, two byelections will also take place in Kingston on the same day, in both Grove ward and Tolworth and Hook Rise.
The polls were triggered when Liberal Democrat deputy leader Stephen Brister and long-serving colleague Vicki Harris stepped down last month.
All three ballots will be held on Thursday, May 7.
The candidates for Grove ward are:
- John Anderson (UKIP)
- Tim Cobbett (Green)
- Jason Hughes (Conservative)
- Rebekah Moll (Liberal Democrat)
- Laurie South (Labour)
- Gabrielle Thorpe (Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition)
- Jon Tolley (Independent)
The candidates for Tolworth and Hook Rise are:
- Tony Banks (Labour)
- Vic Bellamy (UKIP)
- Mike Briggs (Independent)
- Dan Celardi (Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition)
- Tom Davies (Liberal Democrat)
- Ronak Pandya (Conservative)
- Nik Way (Green)
The candidates for the general election are:
- James Berry (Conservative)
- Ed Davey (Liberal Democrat)
- Laurel Fogarty (Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition)
- Daniel Gill (Christian People's Alliance)
- Lee Godfrey (Labour)
- Clare Keogh (Green)
