Network Rail has kept its promise to clear up Tolworth station after a Surrey Comet story revealed old fridges, an office chair and more had been dumped in the car park.

Tesco, which owns fenced-off land next to the station as part of the former Government offices plot, had failed to clear up piles of litter including pizza boxes and beer cans - until today, when a spokeswoman promised the mess would be cleared, after a call from the Comet.
