An elderly woman suffered “serious injuries” after being knocked down in Epsom this morning.
The woman, who is in her 80s, was hit by a red Jaguar X-type car at about 10.40am today (Friday, September 16) in Ashley Road, Epsom outside the Metro Bank.
Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) treated the woman at the scene before taking her as a priority to St George’s Hospital in Tooting.
A SECAmb spokesman said she suffered serious head injuries.
A Surrey Police spokeswoman said it is not believed that a crime had been committed, and that the driver had stopped after the collision.
However, the force is still appealing for witnesses or anyone who assisted the woman at the scene.
To offer information, call Surrey Police on 101, quoting incident reference number P16211595.
