The polls have opened across Surrey as 81 seats on the county council are up for grabs.
Voting started at 7am today, May 4, and continues until 10pm tonight as over 850,000 people are registered to vote in Surrey.
In Reigate and Banstead, 105,392 are eligible to vote – the highest figure of the county’s 11 boroughs and districts.
The number of voters there is almost double those eligible to cast their ballot in Epsom and Ewell (57,727) – the lowest in the county.
Counting will take place on Friday, with no counting to take place overnight, and the results expected throughout the day, Surrey County Council said.
