Southern Trains are once again expecting delays to their services this week, due to engineering works and another strike by conductors.

Engineering works between Sutton and Epsom/Horsham will be leading to altered services all week, including the closure of all lines between Ewell East and Leatherhead

Travellers on the 11pm and 11.26pm services from London Victoria to Epsom and Horsham will also have to terminate their journey at Sutton before using a rail replacement bus.

On top of this, another 48 hour strike by conductors in the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union is due to be held on Wednesday, September 7 and Thursday, September 8.

From yesterday: Southern commuters set up legal fund to challenge Government's handling of Southern franchise

On their website, Southern have warned: 'The strike action will have a significant effect on Southern services on the whole of the days affected, with no service on many routes and only a limited service between approximately 7.30am and 6pm on others, though we will extend the services hours if we are able'.
