A teenager has been arrested in connection with a “brazen” masked raid at an East Molesey pub.
The staff member was counting takings at the Prince of Wales pub in Bridge Road on Sunday, June 5, at 11.10pm when two balaclava-wearing men broke in, detectives said.
One is said to have threatened the employee with a knife while the other scoured the room for cash, before running into Palace Road.
Surrey Police arrested a 19-year-old man from Walton in connection with the raid today.
DC Hannah Clarke said: “This brazen crime saw the assailants drive past people outside the front of the pub.
“You may have information which could help locate and bring those responsible for this crime to justice.
“The ordeal has left the victim shaken and it is an incident which can traumatise an individual for some time. Please share any detail which might help locate these audacious offenders.”
