A 12-year-old girl has told police she was followed down an alleyway by a man who got out of an orange van.
Surrey Police received a report of a suspicious incident in Wessex Close, Hinchley Wood, at about 5.30pm on Friday, March 1.
The man got out of his van and followed the girl down the alleyway for a short distance before turning back to his vehicle, the girl said.
He made no attempt to touch or speak to the girl and she was not harmed in any way.
The man was Asian, 5ft 10in, of medium build and wore dark blue jeans and a green hooded top with the hood up.
There have been no reports of any similar incidents taking place in area, but officers from the safer neighbourhood team are carrying out enquiries as a precaution.
