Police are appealing for the public's help to locate a man wanted on recall to prison.

Anthony Brown, 36, was recently released on licence after being sentenced to three years and one day imprisonment, for burglary and was last known to be residing at Fern Court, Drakefell Road, New Cross.

Officers based at Lewisham are keen to speak to Mr Brown in relation to a number of offences, which have involved victims being duped into giving money to a man pretending to be collecting for charity.

Mr Brown who is believed to have connections in Croydon, is known to use a number of alias such as Tony Green, Anthony James Lancaster or Elton John Mariai with dates of birth of 01/07/1975, 02/07/1974 and 02/05/1975.

He is described as a white male, 5 foot 8 inches in height of slim build with green eyes and short brown hair with a scar under his hairline.

He is clean shaven, has a scar between his nose and mouth, a scar underneath his left forearm and talks with a London accent.

He also has an Millwall Football Club tattoo on his right upper arm and a dragon tattoo on his back.
