• The Ingram Model 10 or Mac-10 (Military Armament Corporation) is a fully automatic submachine gun capable of firing 1,200 rounds per minute.
• It can hold up to 32 rounds of 9mm or .45 ACP ammunition and its compact size make it suitable for tank crews, gun and mortar crews.
• It comes with a silencer and is relatively inexpensive at about £1,500 and its use by drug gangs in the United States has earned it the dubious title of the world’s most dangerous handgun.
• Difficult to control, even for trained marksmen, it is often referred to as the “spray and pray” in gangland circles.
• It was intended for Special Forces and police. Now it is used by US, United Kingdom, Portugal Armed Forces and a number of Latin-American countries armed forces.
