The UPS building in Prologis Park near Therapia Lane
Offices were evacuated and roads closed after a suspect package was found near Therapia Lane this afternoon.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said they were called to Prologis Park industrial estate in Greenland Way about 4pm.
Officers were stood down by 4.30pm after the package was found not to be suspicious, the spokesman said.
Social media users described how surrounding roads and buildings were evacuated due to the alert, with one claiming the package had been found in the UPS building in Prologis Park.
A team from Croydon Fire station were also called as a result of the alert.
