A pedestrian was rushed to hospital after she was seriously injured in a collision in Carshalton.
Police were called to Carshalton High Street, at the junction with Acre Lane, to reports that a vehicle had collided with a woman at about 9.50pm on Monday, January 2.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “She was taken to hospital with serious head injuries following a collision with a vehicle.
“We are not able to determine whether her injuries were life threatening, or not.”
Transport for London’s bus alerts Twitter account posted that bus routes had been diverted both ways following the collision.

Police confirmed that the road had been cordoned off and that it was in place until at least 2am on Tuesday, January 3.
