A benefit gig against plans to sell off land to fund a school refurbishment is be held at the Bread and Roses pub in Clapham this Friday.

The line up is yet to be confirmed but with Elliott School's rich history of producing musical talent there are sure to be a few unexpected surprises.

The news comes as two further consultation sessions, on proposals to fund the refurbishment of the school by disposing of part of the site, will be held at the school this week. They will be tonight, between 5pm-8pm, and on Saturday (May 19) from 10am-1pm at the school in Pullman Gardens, Putney.

People will get a chance to have their say, look at proposals and discuss them with council and school staff.

Residents can also submit comments as part of an ongoing consultation process. The closing date for the consultation on the disposal of part of the school site designated as playing fields, is May 25.
